Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/8 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/8 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Supplies: Non-stick cooking spray or stick of butter, Tinfoil, a whisk, 1 large bowl, 1 medium bowl, a spatula, measuring cups and spoons, AND a mixer!

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Put the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in the large mixing bowl and beat it until it is light brown and fluffy (it should have just changed from the slush-like consistency). Add the egg and the vanilla 1 at a time, mixing after each.

In the medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Beat the wet ingredients bowl adding 1/2 cup of the dry ingredients at a time. After everything is mixed, fold in the chocolate chips with the spatula. Lay the tinfoil over the oven pan and rub/spray it with the butter/non-stick cooking spray. Place quarter sized balls of dough 2 inches apart from each other and bake for 9-12 minutes or until golden brown. Best served warm, enjoy!
